Meet the Teachers

Dianna Ritter Welcome to a great year! I am a graduate of UNM, earning my dual certification in both general and special education.  This is my second year at Zuni Elementary and I came from Rio Rancho Elementary Schools, teaching inclusion classes.  I taught one year in first grade, but have always preferred the older students.  They get my jokes!  I love teaching- also enjoying spending time with my family and anything outdoors.  I look forward to getting to know your student and having a successful year.

You can always reach me at dianna.ritter@aps.edu

Lisa Dudasik: My name is Lisa Dudasik. This is my 2nd year teaching. I graduated from UNM in 2015 with my dual license in elementary education and special education. Currently I teach K-3rd grade special education. I am also currently working on my Masters Degree at UNM in Special Education with a concentration in teaching students with severe disabilities. I am also minoring in Educational Leadership. I have two children. My son is starting Kindergarten at Zuni this year and my daughter is in preschool. My interests include reading books, watching movies, and visiting events in the community with my children.

Amy Stone has a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  Amy is currently teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Enrichment and Extensive Gifted classes.  She believes that incorporating a variety of Technology tools makes teaching exciting and is important for engaging all students and preparing them for their future!

“We are all students.  We are all teachers.  Let’s teach and learn together!”

Debra Harreld’s ties to Zuni go back more than 20 years.  The 2016-2017 school year is her 21st year at Zuni, and her twelfth as a teacher of the Gifted.  Debra attended Butler University, where she received her B.A. with honors in psychology.  Her Master’s degree in Child Development is from Purdue University. Additional course work from Indiana University and the University of New Mexico continued her education.  She has taught just about every age group, from toddlers through graduate school, as well as parent education, and special education.  She has served as a member of the Discovery Ed Teacher Leader Corps, as a site-based trainer, and as a mentor teacher.  Debra’s approach is to integrate concepts and skills across the curriculum, so that students become aware of how ideas connect and relate to the world outside the classroom.  Both of her children attended Zuni as magnet students.
